Good Morning! We have a very long and overdue update…
Things have very much picked up now with the flat season in full swing… We have had 9 winners over the months May and June, the first of which being JENTOBELLO, who ran a blinder at Kelso on the 7th May to win under Brian Hughes, for Valerie Renwick. A first win in her colours! He then headed to Goffs sales, where Paul and Clare Rooney purchased him to stay in the yard, which we were delighted about! He has since won on his debut for them, at Market Rasen on the 20th June under a peach from Brian Hughes again. Long may his success continue for his new owners!
We were absolutely over the moon with PADDY THE SQUIRE on the 8th May, who ran well under Andrew Mullen, to win the Halliwell Jones Handicap (Class 3) at Chester. A fantastic result for his owner, Mr Ian Jones, and he has since bounced back to form when finishing 3rd at York only a week ago!
PARISIAC was our next winner, on the 28th May when he just got his nose in front to win at Hamilton for his owner, Mr Darrell Torrens. He ran well and deservedly got the win, under a great ride from Andrew Mullen.
Switching codes, WINDS OF WINTER won well in the seller at Cartmel on the 28th May, under a great ride from Danny McMenamin for owners J Scott & G Gibson. We were gutted to see her move on to pastures new!
Keeping with the success in James Scott’s colours, MOONSTONE BOY won well at Carlisle the following day, under a great ride from Mohammed Tabti. A great result from James Scott & Dave Stone!
Our own, Hannah Crawford took the ride on SUPERIOR COUNCIL on the 11th June at Hamilton. She gave him a fantastic ride and deservedly they won. A great third winner for Hannah, and a brilliant first winner for owner Graham Gibson, in his own colours!
By luck, our next winner also ran in Graham Gibsons colours! GEMINI MAN won on the 18th June at Hamilton, under a Mohammed Tabti. A good strike rate for Mr Gibson!
Our most recent winner came in our IJR Racing Club colours! GISELLES IZZY won for the club on the 21st June at Ayr… her number 1 track! A great ride from Royal Ascot winning jockey, Paul Mulrennan and a great result for the ever-growing racing club. It was wonderful to have so many of our members there to cheer her on!
We have no runners today, however see ourselves at Carlisle tomorrow, Hamilton on Thursday, and have entries at Newcastle and York later on in the week!
