Good Morning and Welcome back! How lucky have we been with the sunny weather over the last week! The dedicated team have been coming in early to exercise the horses and beat the heat. Pictured below is some of the fantastic work up the gallops, demonstrated and led by Poppy & RAVENSCRAIG CASTLE and Hannah & HAVEYOUMISSEDME.
We have had a busy ten days with runners most days. We have picked up various different results; including 2 wins! On Saturday 9th July, FLORIDA FILLY ran a cracker in the 6pm under Paul Mulrennan to win the 6pm for owner Mr J Fyffe. It was a very strong finish from her indeed to get her second win on the bounce. We were all delighted. She is pictured below making her way to the post! INNSE GALL headed to Chester and finished a respected 4th in the 5.30pm under Andrew Mullen, for owner Mr C. H. McGhie.
On Sunday 10th July we headed to Perth with GLEN AVA and SIMPLE STAR. SIMPLE STAR made his debut over hurdles and finished a very respectable 2nd under Conor O’Farrell, for owner Mrs D Monteith. A very promising start from him and we are looking forward to see him progress over hurdles. The game GLEN AVA picked up her third win in a row in the 4.40pm under Conor O’Farrell, for owner Castle Racing Scotland. Another brilliant result from this fantastic filly! She is pictured below looking rather impressed with herself. We just love her!
On Monday 11th July we had 3 runners head to Ayr; LORD SAM’S CASTLE, BEST OF YOU and GISELLES IZZY. The result of the day was in the 2.25pm where GISELLES IZZY finished 3rd under Jamie Gormley. Another fantastic finish from her.
We then had no runners until Thursday 14th July where we headed to Hamilton with two runners for Lets Be Lucky Racing. HAVANA PARTY (pictured below) came 3rd in a hot race, under Jamie Gormley and CRYSTAL GUARD finished 4th under Ryan Sexton.
On the 15th July we headed back to Hamilton with two more runners. Up first was FINN RUSSELL in the 6.17pm who finished 5th under Andrew Mullen, for owner Mr Michael H Watt. Next was MOTASHAWEQ who picked up a very respectable 3rd for Mr Kenneth MacPherson under Andrew Mullen.
Saturday the 16th of July took us to two tracks under both codes. Cartmel and Ripon. Our two jumpers; EXIT TO WHERE and ANIMORE finished 4th & 5th in the extremely hot conditions in the 4.10pm for their owners but nevertheless we had a fantastic day out, and it was lovely to spend time with Mrs Tullie. EXIT TO WHERE loved the Cartmel atmosphere and is pictured below loving the fans with Sam! KRAKEN FLORIDA finished 4th in the 5.11pm at Ripon under Andrew Mullen for his owner Mr J Fyffe. Happy with this result!
Next up was Cartmel and Ayr on Monday 18th July with 3 runners in total. Ailsa McClung rode her own TOKARAMORE in the 2.40pm at Cartmel to finish 3rd. Our Ayr runners; NEVER DARK and MERRICOURT were both ridden by Andrew Mullen. MERRICOURT finished a fantastic 2nd for owner Mr Allan McLuckie at his beloved Ayr track. Great result!
Finally, on Tuesday 19th July, we headed to Musselburgh with HELLO HAVANA and THE GAY BLADE. HELLO HAVANA finished 4th in the 2.25pm under Andrew Mullen, for her owner, Duchess of Sutherland, Evelyn and THE GAY BLADE got his best result to date for 3rd under Andrew Mullen for Musselburgh Lunch Club. He is pictured below in Mr Gerry McGladery’s lucky colours!
We had no runners yesterday and have none again today! Tomorrow we head with one runner to York. Wishing his owner the best of luck:
