We had two respectable results yesterday at Ayr. ROAN was 5th in the 1.30pm under Alan Doyle for his owners, D&D Armstrong and PURE SURF was 4th in the 3.15pm under Jamie Hamilton (a last minute jockey change!) for her owners Mrs C Brown and Mr Michael Wares. Wishing Conor a speedy recovery after his fall in the 2.40pm! Pictured below is ROAN pre race with a happy (ish) looking Alan Doyle.
It is work day today for all of the horses. They will have a canter up the 6F all-weather then work round the grass. Some of the 2yo’s will go through the stalls ahead of their grass work. They are all working well at home at the moment. The ground is perfect. We are also taking two horses to Ayr for a racecourse gallop late morning getting the final steps in before any upcoming entries.
We have no runners today but have another 2yo making his racecourse debut tomorrow. He heads to Ripon. Wishing his owner, Evelyn Duchess of Sutherland the best of luck:
