I was happy enough with the weekend results. No winners but some good runs. River Icon was definitely the pick of them, she’s a game mare from a tough family! Blow By Blow needed his run at Carlisle after more than 400 days off the track, he’ll come on for that.
We welcomed our first Owners post Covid back to the gallops this morning. Two Owners from the same family, following strict guidelines. If 2 Owners are allowed back on course, I’m happy to have 2 a morning at the yard.
Conor popped in on Sunday morning and schooled some Kelso entries for Sunday.
A shock announcement from Richard Johnson at the weekend. I’ve used him as a jockey and ridden against him! I wish him well for the next chapter.
No runners today. Most of the staff are on a half day and will enjoy Easter Monday afternoon off
