Cooler this morning riding out. I think it’s cooler now than it was during the night!
No doubt you will have read of the awful accident at Hamilton Park yesterday that saw the meeting abandoned. My thoughts are very much with the two cameramen from Racing TV and their families this morning. While I fully understand they will want space and privacy, having been there I’d really like to know how the men are doing, just for peace of mind! Harriet Graham and her Team did right to abandon racing but I do question the thinking of those at the top of the tree. In my opinion, racing should never have been considered!
On to happier news, some of the National hint horses are starting to trickle in from grass. They will start 4 weeks pre training. COOL MIX is weighing in at 580kg so has obviously enjoyed and thrived during his holiday! Diana Carter will pre train him as she did last year. Stablemate DUNGEON BROOK will go with him.
Today we are at Thirsk with Scott Fyffe’s ANNIE POWER and at Musselburgh with REELY BONNIE, NEVER DARK & TOMILY.
