Hello and Happy Monday. I hope everyone has had a great Easter weekend. Our weekend started off well with some fantastic results over fences at Carlisle and on the turf at Musselburgh. EXIT TO WHERE was our only runner at Carlisle. He ran to the line in the 4.04pm under Craig Nichol to get a fantastic 2nd for his owner Mr Raymond Anderson Green. A fantastic result!
5 horses also headed to the first Musselburgh turf race of the year. Gerry McGladery’s lovely 2yo, LITTLE BETTY ran a cracker in the 3.47pm for her first run to get a fantastic 3rd under Andrew Mullen. A delighted owner that’s for sure at his beloved Musselburgh. Results like this are made more special when it is at an owners favourite track! MERRICOURT picked up a very respectable 4th in the 4.57pm under Jamie Gormley for his owner Mr Allan McLuckie. He ran a brilliant race and finished strongly!
The highlight of the day was in the 4.22pm, where ROSE BANDIT got herself back into the winning enclosure for her owners, The Strattonites. They had a fantastic season last year with this game filly who picked up 3 wins for them throughout the year. I am absolutely delighted to be getting a win from her so early in the season and we can’t wait for more success with her throughout the year. A strong ride from Andrew Mullen for a very tight finish.
