What a weekend! 5 runners, 4 members of staff, 3 top 3 results, 2 different tracks, 1 winner and some delighted owners! I am happy with all of their runs and can’t thank the team at home enough for getting them to this stage. Andrew and Jamie have given some fantastic rides over the last couple of weeks so I owe them a big thanks too, as well as our ever supportive owners who put their trust in us with their horses. It is nice to see our form is back with 3 winners in a week as well as lots of top 4 placings.
On Saturday, Ailsa, Anita and myself headed to Thirsk with two runners. We had LITTLE BETTY in the 1pm who finished 7th for her second run and AFTER JOHN who ran another cracker, in the 1.30pm under Andrew Mullen, only a week after his great run at Haydock. He was beaten to the post but picked up a very respectable 2nd. I am absolutely delighted for his owners, Lady Jouse Partnership. What a fantastic horse who will hopefully get his head infront soon! Yesterday I headed to Hamilton alongside Lindsay and Ben with 3 runners. It was great to be back to one of our favourite tracks! Our first runner was SIMPLE STAR in the 3.10pm under Andrew Mullen who ran well to get 3rd for his owner, Mrs Doreen Monteith. He led the majority of the way and just struggled to keep on for the final furlong. VAMOS CHICA was next up in the 3.47pm and was 6th under Jamie Gormley for Lets Be Lucky Racing. The highlight of our day was KATS BOB winning the lucky last under Andrew Mullen for his owners Colin and Tommy Dorman. We dropped the trip back to 6f and it was a much improved run from his first time out this year. He stayed on well thanks to a great ride from Andrew, which ended in the winners enclosure!
