A fairy tale ending to the Irish National. I hope all connections make the most of it and celebrate well. It reminded me of winning The Ebor. I don’t think I fully appreciated it at the time because it was all a bit surreal.
It’s another beautiful day here. Cold but sunny. We had a flurry of snow about 7pm last night but it didn’t come to anything. There’s a frost on the grass this morning.
Andrew Mullen is in for his weekly visit. I have him down for 3 or 4 2yo’s.
No runners today.
Boris is sticking with his roadmap out of Covid which is good. Hopefully Ms Sturgeon follows suit. There will be some cold heads and tired hairdressers this morning!
Entries closing today are for Redcar on Monday 12th, I have a couple. Huge entries at Newcastle and Kelso this weekend. I see B Hughes has committed to 3 days at Aintree in his chase for another Champion Jockey Title…I wish him well.
