Good Morning and Happy Monday. We have had a very busy weekend with 24 runners in total. We finished the weekend with 2 winners which we are delighted with. A quiet day today before 2 runners head to Carlisle tomorrow.
On Thursday night we headed to Ayr with 4 runners. First up was MATTI who ran in her owner, Janis MacPherson’s colours under Andrew Mullen in the 6.23pm. Next up was GURKHALI GIRL who got her run after being a N/R on Monday due to the ground. She finished a respectable 4th place under Andrew Mullen for owner, Duchess of Sutherland, Evelyn. Happy with this result.
It was however, a night for the Lets Be Lucky colours as they had a 1,2 result! ZUMAATY had an extremely strong finish in the 7.58pm under Ben Curtis for 2nd. A fantastic ride resulting in a great result. The highlight of our night was JUMP THE GUN getting his second win of the season, this time under Paul Mulrennan. A fantastic result from this super little horse. We are delighted!
On Friday we headed to Thirsk, Musselburgh and Haydock. It wasn’t exactly our day with results but we had some good runs from some of the horses. At Musselburgh, LITTLE BETTY, THE GAY BLADE & MERRICOURT all finished 3rd in their fixtures. MERRICOURT is a little star finishing 3rd beaten a head in total. He ran again on Saturday night! HOUR BY HOUR ran a big race down at Haydock Park for 5th. We know he wants further but we’ve been avoiding the quick ground of late and wanted to run where there was a bit of give in the ground. He got that at Haydock, and we look forward to Autumn with him now.
Finally, on Saturday we headed to Ayr and Redcar. Our day started off well as ACONCAGUA MOUNTAIN won the 4.02pm at Redcar under Sam James. The finish was certainly as close as it gets but absolutely delighted with this result.
At Ayr we picked up a 2nd and 3rd in the 6.45pm courtesy of HAVANA PARTY (ridden by Kevin Stott) and ZURAIG (ridden by Andrew Mullen). A close finish between them but some great results. We are delighted for their owners. MERRICOURT ran yet another cracker for 4th in the 8.15pm under Andrew Mullen, for owner, Mr Allan McLuckie. What a superstar he is!
