Scottish Grand National Day!

Good Morning and Happy Scottish Grand National day! What a fantastic day it will be; the sun is shining, with the going Good to Soft, which I’m sure will suit lots of horses! We head to Ayr with 5 runners in the hopes for some nice runs and hopefully some good results. I am currently en route and will be there to assist today’s fantastic team of Lindsay, Ben, Poppy, and Kayleigh who are all accompanying the horses. The horses are all in great hands! We are lucky enough to have COOL MIX running in the SGN for the second year running! He ran a cracker last year, so I am hoping that him, and Alan Doyle come home safely today…wishing his owners Donna and Dave Armstrong the best of luck. We would like to wish all the horses and jockeys’ safe home today, most especially those in the Coral Scottish Grand National!

Pictured below is COOL MIX picking his feet up under Alan Doyle during their most recent fixture at Musselburgh where he finished a fantastic 2nd! Thank you Hands and Heels Photography for the lovely picture.

Our 5 runners at Ayr today are:

1.15pm- GOLD DES BOIS, ridden by Conor O’Farrell, owned by Mr Raymond Anderson Green

2.25pm- VOIX DU REVE, ridden by Tom Midgley, owned by D&D Armstrong and Mr L Westwood

3.35pm- COOL MIX, ridden by Alan Doyle, owned by D&D Armstrong

4.45pm- OOT MA WAY, ridden by Bradley Roberts, owned by Iain Jardine Racing Club

5.15pm- CALL ME HARRY, ridden by Conor O’Farrell, owned by D&D Armstrong and Mr L Westwood

Wishing all owners, trainers, jockeys, horses, stable staff and any spectators the best of luck today! I hope everyone has a fantastic day.

We have had a busy morning in the sun working all of the other horses! We have worked the flat horses round the grass and have also taken the 2yo’s through the stalls! We had Andrew Mullen and Alan Doyle in which is always a great help.

A massive well done to our March employee of the month, Ailsa!  She contributed to the pool money (which the team are all very grateful for) with her stickability at Hexham on Monday. This month’s prize was kindly donated by bars4yougifts. Take a look at their Instagram page for some lovely gift ideas! Ailsa is pictured with her own TOKARAMORE.
