Temperatures above zero

This is the first morning for almost a week that temperatures at breakfast time have been above zero.

No runners today but She’sasupermack leaves for Cheltenham at 10am, Ellen & Ailsa are heading down there with her. She runs in the Mares Listed Hurdle at 2.40pm on Thursday. An exciting entry for Owners Cath Brown and Michael Wares.  Conor rides. It would be great to add some black type. She goes in good order.  She was double entered at Ayr but I think Cheltenham ticks many more boxes.

Lots of prep today for Ayr. Our physio Mark Noble is in. Voix Du Reve is pictured getting his daily massage on body and legs using the Equilibrium Massage Pad and our Horseware Ice Vibe boots.  Both valuable pieces of IJR equipment.

Declarations for Day 1 of Ayr close at 10 o’clock today. It looks like we will only have a maximum of 2 runners on the Friday.

Tomily has come out of last nights’ race at Newcastle well. We’re still getting to know him. He’ll be better on the turf.
I have a few Owners coming this morning for the first time in 18 months. Owners have hourly slots at the minute to accommodate as many people as possible on a work morning. It looks like Covid restrictions on Scotland may ease further later on as Nicola is making another announcement.

I’m off to make more entries. Things are getting busy.”
