We had a busy day on Saturday at Ayr for the Scottish Grand National weekend. Admittedly we are feeling a bit deflated because COOL MIX wasn’t able to follow up from his fantastic 5th in the big one last year, but we went with 5 chances and 3 of them finished in the prizes. GOLD DES BOIS could’ve jumped better but galloped all the way to the line and got 3rd in the 1.15pm under Conor O’Farrell. VOIX DU REVE is in magnificent form. He was still buzzing on Sunday morning. A fantastic 4th only two weeks after his win under Tom Midgely in the 2.25pm. A great result for Donna and Dave Armstrong and Lee Westwood! COOL MIX we know about. OOT MA WAY was desperately unlucky, that’s jump racing! CALL ME HARRY was a better performance than he’s had credit for… 4th in the bumper with a double penalty giving the winner a stone. Quite a horse! Thank you to the owners and horses that make these big days happen but also to the awesome team behind IJR. It is now time for these fantastic five horses to have a well-deserved summer holiday! Picture spam of our day below:
