10 degrees – wet & wild

It’s a horrible way for the Team to start the week and not the dry, sunny day Owners attending the racecourse today were probably hoping for. However, things can only improve!

River Icon was a NR Saturday.  Nothing to worry about.  In season and that can wreak havoc with her performance.  Thrilled with Camile & Exit To Where at Carlisle yesterday.  Ray Anderson Green and I knew first thing Sunday morning that the rain softened ground would go against him.  Being in the last chase on the card was another negative.  He ran a cracker though.  Bowling along in front with Conor, ears pricked and never missed a fence.  He’ll have his day again soon on better ground.

Twelve horses were ridden on Sunday morning so the will go twice up the gallop this morning. For the others is a usual quiet Monday morning canter.

The Easter School Holidays started on Friday so we have a few more pairs of hands for the next couple of weeks.  Namely Kyla, Milly, Lucy & Dom.  All eager to get stuck in.  Milly & Lucy are great on the yard and Kyla & Dom are super wee riders.

I’m on the yard all day today then tomorrow I’ll head down to Newmarket for their March Sale https://www.tattersalls.com/sales/march-sale/4DCGI/Sale/MCH21/Main I’m buying and selling so if you have any enquiries, please get in touch 01387 840347.
