Wet N Wild!

Sedgefield yesterday…another game effort from The Ogle Gogle Man for 2nd…by a neck.  Look, it wasn’t Conor O’farrell’s finest moment but we mustn’t forget, he delivers plenty fine moments otherwise!  He’s held his hands up to Mr’s Griffiths, Greig & Jardine and admits full responsibility, he apologised personally.  Jockeys make split second decisions. Yes we probably should’ve won.  Yes we’re all disappointed. However, that’s racing and I’m grateful to have Owners like The Ogle Gogle Man’s that understand that. Conor has received his fair share of abuse on social media, the keyboard warriors need to back off as rest assured he won’t make the same mistake twice.  Well done to Simon West, Mr Hothersall and John Kington!

I’ve no runners at Musselburgh today but Bill Farnsworth and his Team are allowing us on for a racecourse gallop as it’s the last jumps fixture of the season.  I’m taking 6.  A mixture of flat and NH horses.  Among them is The Owners Group new horse for 2021, Pearl Warrior.

I have runners on the all-weather at Newcastle this evening: Merricourt, Zabeel Star and Kats Bob.  Ridden by Andrew Mullen and Jamie Gormley.  Kayleigh and Nate will be making their way there at 1.30pm.

Looking ahead to the weekend, we will be at Kelso Saturday and Carlisle Sunday.  The decs at Kelso were a bit disappointing but Carlisle is sure to be a great card as it’s The Northern Lights Chase Series Finals.  We’re well represented by Ray Anderson Green’s Exit To Where who was 3rd in his qualifier at Musselburgh on New Years’ Day.  Conor rides River Icon at Kelso and Exit at Carlisle, while Oakley Brown takes 5lb off my other Carlisle runner, Camile.

Have a great weekend. Remember to change your clocks and I’ll see you on Monday with the return of Owners’ to the racecourse…
