Beautiful start to the morning

It’s a beautiful start to the morning.  Bright, sunny and 2 degrees.  No freezing wind which is a relief.

Our tractor has been in for a big service and repair.  It was delivered back yesterday looking as good as new.  It has specialised golf course tyres on which are very wide with minimal tread for doing the grass gallop.  Ben will roll that today as conditions are perfect.  All being well we will work some of the flat horses and the Ayr entrants round there on Saturday morning.

Another blank day as far as runners are concerned but the entries are starting to fill up from week commencing 19th April.

We have 3 National Hunt runners this weekend.  So Satisfied is at Newcastle Saturday for Eddie Wharton and Ian Gray.  Craig Nichol takes the ride.  He ran well at Ayr a month ago.  Tomorrow might be quick enough ground for him but the trip and track suit.

On Sunday we are at Kelso with Mrs Ailie Tullie’s two “More’s”.  Back to back races which isn’t great for Ailie’s nerves! Tokaramore is in the Handicap Chase at 3.36pm and Animore in the Handicap Hurdle at 4.10pm.  Both are in good form.  All being well, Conor will be on board.

Have a lovely weekend.  Good luck with all your Grand National bets.

I’ll catch up again on Monday.
