Welcome back

Good morning and welcome back.

I hope you’ve all made the most of the weather on offer this weekend?

We’re starting our week back where we were 7 days ago, at Ayr. Allan McLuckie’s MERRICOURT (pictured) returns to try to do the double under Andrew Mullen at 3.55am.

We are also over fences today at Cartmel with Mrs Tullie’s ANIMORE. Still a novice, she’s in a hot contest at 3.35pm but Cartmel’s fences are inviting so this is a good starting point on lovely ground. This is her first run post wind op.
We started at 5am this morning to try to beat the heat! This has been our system for 4 or 5 days now. It’s easier on the horses and less chance of running into pesky clegs.

We’ve a reasonably quiet week on the racing front but things get busier in the latter half of the week with meetings such as York and Musselburgh, two of my favourite tracks.

I was delighted with Mrs Macpherson’s 2yo NOVAK at Redcar yesterday. He finished 4th beaten 3 lengths. A recent gelding op has done him the world of good!

Andrew Mullen is staying after Ayr today and will ride out Tuesday morning giving us a good opportunity to get videos and pictures to update our owners.

Happy Monday.”
